easy dialogue

Here in this video .....I will present small basic dialogue in Arabic language.

Father : Asslamu alikum

السلام عليكم

This is the most famous Arabic salutation, originating from Islamic rules of salutation.
It means simply  : " peace be upon you ".

Family : wa alikum asslam wa rahmatullah........marhaban ya abi

و عليك السلام و رحمة الله - مرحباً يا أبي

this is what the reply should be ......It means simply : " and you as well ....peace and god's mercy be upon you " - " Hello dad ".

Also, in this video clip I would like to train you more on pronouns . .....do you remember our previous post about pronouns ??
practise some of them now ........and differentiate between feminine and  musculine

For example : the pronoun " You "
In Arabic language :               for musculine it is :  an'ta      أنتَ
                                                 for feminine  it is :    an'ti             أنتِ

They are the same almost but the difference here is adding Cus'rah under the last letter "letter taa " for feminine,  while adding fat'hah on the top of the last letter " letter taa " for mucline.

This example is a pretty good one to show you the importance of  accents

" tashkeel " .....refer to previous grammar posts .

the whole small story here at this video talks about "  hospitality " and how the family members co- operate

preparing  themselves to host thier guests..........to welcome Arabic speaking guest/s at your house/ office

you should meet him/her/them   with the most famous word all over arab countries :

Ahlan wa sahlan
أهلاً و سهلاً
It means in English : you came here to your another family and your people in a very nice comfy place.

you will find it at the end of this video.

Do you like to know more about what is going on this video ? ........just ask....
