Instructor: now you and your wife are at dinner talking about an upcoming vacation
هو : ُأريدُ أن أتحدثَ معَكِ عن هذهِ الرِحلة
Instructor: ask her where you would like to go to Aleppo or to Cairo
هو : إلى أينَ تُريدينَ الذهَاب ؟... إلى حَلب أمْ إلى القاهِرة ؟
Instructor: she says I want to go back to Aleppo
هى : اُريدُ الرجوعَ إلى حَلب
Instructor: she asks you do you remember the name of the hotel
هى : هل تتذكرُ اسمَ الفندُق؟
Instructor: tell her yes of course, the hotel is called "Al-Horreya"
هو: فُندق الحرية
هو : نعَم بالطبعِ الفنُدق اسمُهُ فندُق الحرية
Instructor: she asks you did you book the hotel.
هى : هل حَجزتُ الفندُق ؟

Instructor: tell her yes, of course I remember
هو : بالطبعِ أتذكرُ
Instructor: do you remember how to ask a man when would you return?
هى : مَتى سَترجع ؟

Instructor: how would she say to you I thought you want to return there?
هى : اعتقدت ُ أنَكَ تُريدُ الرجوعَ إلى هَناك

هو : نعَم سَوفَ أحجِزُ غداً
Instructor: the next day you ask her, have you seen my pen?
هو : هل رأيتِ قلمِى ؟

Instructor: she says I saw your pen two minutes ago
هى : رأيتُهُ مُنذُ دقيقتَين .
Instructor: it was on this table next to your papers
هي: كان على هَذِهِ المِنضَدة بجِوارِ أوراقِك
Instructor: she says but your pen isn’t on the table now
هى : لكِن قلمَكَ ليس على المِنضدَةِ الآن
Instructor: she says I want to speak to you about the trip
هى : أنا أرِيدُ التحدُثَ معكَ عن هذه الرِحلة
Instructor: did you book the hotel?
هى : هل حَجزتَ الفندُق؟
Instructor: tell her I will book today
هو : سَوفَ احجِزُ اليَوم

Instructor: she says you need to do it right away
هى : لابدّ أن تفعلَها حالاً
هو: قُل
Instructor: my credit cards
هو : بطَاقاتُ الائتمانِ الخاصَةِ بي
Instructor: try to say yesterday my credit cards were at home
هو : البارحة ، بطاقاتُ الائتمانِ الخاصَةِ بى كانت بالمنزِل
Instructor: referring to the reservation she says I can make them on behalf of you
هى : أنا استطيعُ أن أفعلَها نيابةً عنك .

Instructor: now she asks if this pen yours.

هو : تَذاكِرُ الطائِرة
Instructor: now she asks you did you buy the plane tickets.
هى : هل اشتريتُ تذاكرَ الطائِرة؟
Instructor: no I didn’t have my credit cards with me
هو : لا لم تَكن بِطاقَاتُ الائتِمانِ الخَاصةِ بي معي
Instructor: tell her I can buy the tickets tomorrow morning
هو : أستطيعُ شراؤها غداً صَباحاً
Instructor: you want to say I can pay for the tickets. First here’s to pay

Instructor: she says quickly:" no to Aleppo"
هى : لا... إلى حَلب

Instructor: I thought you want to go to Cairo
هو : كنتُ أعتقدُ أنك تُريدينَ الذهابِ إلى القاهرة
Instructor: tell her I can pay for the plane tickets to Aleppo
هو : أستطيعُ أن أدفعَ تذاكِرَ الطائِرةِ إلى حلب
Instructor: by credit card
هو : ببِطاقةِ الائتِمان
Instructor: we can go back to Cairo in February
هو : نستطيعُ الرجوعَ إلى القاهِرةِ في فبراير
Instructor: now she asks have you booked the hotel.
هى : هل حجزتَ الفندُق؟
Instructor: she offers I can make it on behalf of you
هى : أستطيعُ أن أفَعلَها نيابةً عنك.
Instructor: but I must make it right away

Instructor: she tells you the name of the hotel is Al-Horreya in Aleppo
هى : اسمُ الفندُق الحرية في حَلب
Instructor: but I don’t remember the name of the restaurant

Instructor: tell her that you can buy the tickets
هو : أستطيعُ شِراءَ التذاكِر
Instructor: tell her I can buy the tickets tomorrow morning

Instructor: and then I will book the hotel
هو : وبعَدَ ذلك سَاحجِزُ الفُندُق
Instructor: I can make it in Aleppo
هو : أستطيعُ أن أفعلَها في حَلب

Instructor: Do they accept the American express card?
هو : هَل يقبَلون بِطاقةَ أميرِكان اكسِبريس؟
Instructor: she answers yes I think so but I can’t remember

Instructor: teasing, how you say but I thought you want to go to Cairo
هو : كنتُ أعتقدُ أنكِ ترِيدينَ الذهابَ إلى القاهِرة
Instructor: no we’re going to Aleppo
هى : لا نَحنُ ذاهبِين إلى حَلب
Instructor: a few days later tell her that you book the tickets to Aleppo
هو : لقدُ حجزتُ التذاكِرَ إلى حلب .
Instructor: you want to say here they are, it’s the same
word you learned to say here it’s. Try it
هو: تفَضَلي

Instructor: and have you booked the hotel?
هى : وهَل حَجزتَ الفندُق؟
Instructor: tell her that you will make the reservations this morning

Instructor: means nice or beautiful when referring to a
feminine object. Listen as she says there is a nice garden in the back

Instructor: here’s the word for "in the back"

Instructor: you want to know, where she parks her car. Here’s how to say you park to a woman

Instructor: on another day you’re talking with your wife, ask her what about going to restaurant Al-Mashawy tonight?
هو : ما رأيِكِ أن نذهَبَ إلى مطعَمِ المشاوي الليلة ؟
Instructor: your wife asks don’t you remember
هى : ألا تتذكَر ؟
Instructor: did you notice …" don't you" in Arabic? …hear it again.

Instructor: tonight we are going to a party
هى : الليلة سنذهَبُ إلى حَفلة

Instructor: do you remember how to say it starts referring to a party

Instructor: now she says:" yes, the party starts at 8 o’clock"
