Instructor: now suppose you are an American man in a restaurant in
Damascus, how do you ask the waiter for the menu?

Instructor: your wife says to you how about ordering a pot of tea
هى : مَا رأيُكَ أن نَطلُبَ إبريقًا مِن الشَاي ؟
Instructor: how do you ask the waiter for the check?
هو: الفاتورة مِن فَضلِك
Instructor: how do you ask your wife, have you seen my pen?
هو : هَل رَأيتِ قَلمِى ؟
Instructor: she says I saw your pen two minutes ago

Instructor: later at work your assistant asks when you are going to Egypt.

Instructor: here’s how to say:" to Cairo"

Instructor: literally to the Cairo, say I want to talk about the trip to Cairo
هو : أحب ُ أن اتَحدث َ عَن الرِحلَةِ إلى القَاهِرة

Instructor: she asks have you booked the hotel.

Instructor: the name of the hotel, literally name the hotel. Try it

Instructor: referring to the restaurant, how would she say it’s called or literally his name is?

Instructor: she picks up something, how would she ask, is this pen yours?
هى : هَل هَذا قَلمُك؟

me. First here’s how to say the credit cards. Literally cards the credit

Instructor: to say my credit cards you add a word meaning literally of mine

Instructor: now try to say my credit cards

Instructor: Do you remember how to say not with me
هى : ليسَت معِى
Instructor: to say I didn’t have literally say wasn’t with me. Credit card is feminine so you use
هو: تكن

Instructor: try to say today’s meeting. Literally meeting the today

Instructor: I want to talk with you about today’s meeting
هو : أحبُ أن اتحَدثَ مَعكِ عن اجتِمَاعِ اليَوُم

Instructor: later you and your wife are planning a vacation together; ask her where you want to go
هو : إلىَ أينَ تُريدينَ الذهِاب؟

Instructor: I want to talk with you about this trip

Instructor: I didn’t have my credit cards with me

Instructor: this morning
هو : هذا الصباح
Instructor: I didn’t have my credit cards with me

Instructor: now you finish eating how you ask for the check
